The morning sun reminds me of years ago when that lilac was very small and I had an inspiration one morning watching Kelly at her bath in the sun by that window, and I actually found the reference photos I’d taken on that morning that became this design. Since I’ve been able to browse my boxes of print photos from decades past I’ve found some photos I haven’t seen in years, and one envelope was the reference photos for this block print taken in 1998.
