I am participating in Leslie Saeta’s annual “30 in 30” painting challenge this month. This is my painting for day 8.
At this angle I could see a little splash of orange on the Granny Smith and a few specks of green on the Clementine. The light on each of them, the shadows and shapes and the shades of green and orange were almost too many to identify. I took the photo several years ago of my fruit bowl. How fun when you can use your fruit as a painting subject, and then eat it. That’s really a very good deal.
I liked the uncropped version too. Sometimes I like the rough edges on a sketch.
I did take the weekend off, unintentionally, not finding time to sketch or to post, but five days a week isn’t bad.
