Open Water - Today - Portraits of Animals

I found open water and lots of color even though it’s still just early March.

Sometimes I need to awaken my creative senses with a taste of the natural world. Often these aren’t planned excursions but extemporaneous visits to places I know well while I’m running errands. I return with more than I’d set out to get, usually in the way of a few gigabytes of photos.

Someday one or more of these may be paintings you’ll see here on Portraits of Animals.
