I love mini cat prints. This is another of my new totes, and I also offer it the pattern in an accessory bag.

This pattern is a collage of all the kitties I’ve drawn in this same style with the above-mentioned brush pen, singles, multiples, smooth lines, sketchy lines, just a bunch of busy kitties in black on white.

Until I find the right colors to print on too. I love black and pink, and I think turquoise would look nice too!

And if you want to add your own variations, you can get fabric markers or paints and add color yourself!

Designing this tote bag style

I’ve had this idea for a few years for a larger tote bag. It’s based on the larger size fabric transfer I use, which is 11″ x 17″. My idea was to make a fabric swatch that entire size, then back it with a solid color fabric. But when I mocked one up using paper I didn’t like the shape so much, too wide, but I didn’t want to waste any “printed” fabric nor waste any fabric transfer material by having two or three inches left over; I could print on that for pins and earrings and other sorts of things, but it wouldn’t be easy to run through my printer.

So back to the 11″ x 17″ size front and back, and to make it a size and shape I liked I folded paper and slipped it up into the bottom of the paper mock up until I liked the depth and shape of the bag. That ended up being about 2″ extra front and back which made the final bag about 13″ tall. Looking at the composition I decided to plan on making the extra fabric at the bottom a coordinating color rather than making them all in natural color, and also decided to back the bag with the same color fabric.
