First Carnegie Farmers Market a Wrap

Well, the first Carnegie Farmers Market of the season is a wrap–a very hot wrap at 94 degrees on Main Street in full sun on the pavement! Thank goodness my tent canopy has a “silver lining” that reflects a lot of the heat so the shade is actually cooler. The 5-10mph breeze was very welcome even if it tossed tablecloths and papers around.

I’ve got all the kitty stuff and got to talk to all the cat people who strolled along. The tiles were eye catchers! Lots of interest in Custom Pet Memorial gifts too.

I did change my display, the biggest being one wide table down the middle of the tent with shallow two stepped levels down the middle for all the small gift items that go on a table.

Custom Pet Memorial items are at the other end of the table with the suncatchers, sample portrait and signage up on the display panel in the back.

Customers can walk in a U-shape and look at the table from all angles or turn around and look at the artwork.

I did not get my display walls done before today and that will be the other big change so that I can have framed prints and photography, garden flags and dishtowels and cat signs and anything else that can hang on wire mesh panels around three sides.

Thanks as always to Mary for roasting along with me today! I couldn’t get this thing set up and ready in time without your help.

I missed all of last year, so it’s good to be back. Also got to visit some of my favorite vendors.

Looking forward to next week!

Starting Sunday, July 6 through the end of September, join us for the Carnegie Farmers Market on Main Street from noon to 3:00 p.m.! I can’t wait to get back!

HOLIDAY MARKET – November 16

Here is the map for July 6 with the list of participating vendors and open businesses.

I am in space number 20, right across the street from where I was before.

What’s in my tent?

Really, I missed all of last year’s farmers markets so I’m almost out of practice. Below are photos of my market tent from previous years just to show you some of what I’ll have. I’m working on completely rearranging my display so I don’t have any photos of it yet, but I think it will look neater and be easier to walk around and view things. I have had a few small events that helped to work some things out, but I’m really excited about this new display.

That back wall includes the “window” display of my suncatchers, but they are almost hidden against the latticework pattern. When I have wire panels all around that will allow more light and less obstructions to shine through the suncatchers.

You can also visit my Handmade Gifts Gallery to look over what I have listed, though I always have things that aren’t listed too.

Below, nature gifts.

Here’s the schedule at the moment, and I’ll be adding to it as a few other things are finalized. The farmers markets are Sundays, and I may also have a Saturday event here and there.
